Wycliffe - Series 5

WYCLIFFE --SERIES 1--5
This was one of the best series I have watched in a long time. I just hope there will be a #6. I am a great fan of all Eupoeian drama's. I never watch anyting else.
I have a collection of British drama's be on 100. I love them all, exceopt the new Sherlock Holmes. It is just terrible.

where's the christmas special?
This series is missing the crucial christmas special in which wycliff gets shot. So we start out with him recovering and dealing with post traumatic shock syndrome. THe stories are goog though as usual and the acting is first rate. Then in the last 3 episodes one of the key characters goes on a training mission. IN reality he got meningitis and wasn't able to continue the show. The insurance companies wouldn't cover him to return. THis angered the cast who then didn't return for a sixth series. The show was a hit series too, so once again insurance companies ruin someones life, in this case fans of the show as well. This one is not the strongest of the series at all though. Series 4 and 3 were great detective shows. This one because the christmas special is missing and the last few without a key character is not up to them, but it's still pretty darn good. IN other words it's not excellent but it's way above average still. The dvd looks great and you do see some film grain but...

I hope there are more of this Wycliff. He is directing the series now and he seems a little grouchy now. Still good acting though I hope he does what is best for him and the series. Don't end the series ever. Keep up the good work Wycliffe. What is next???
